Got a Tesla adapter, works fine

Needed a Tesla to J1772 Adapter so my friend could charge at my place. Grabbed one from here. It just works, you know? No fuss, plugged it in, car started charging. Easy peasy.

Great value, saved a bunch

As a first-time buyer, I was looking for the best deal on a NEMA 14-50 EV Charger. I found a sitewide promo on M&E New Energy and it made a big difference. The charger itself works perfectly, and I really felt like I got my money's worth. Shipping was also free, which was a nice bonus. Glad I went with them.

Solid NEMA 6-20 charger, good support

I purchased the NEMA 6-20 EV Charger about a month ago. Ordering was straightforward on their website. It arrived well-packaged within a week, even though I'm on the east coast. Installation was simple, just plugged it into my existing outlet. I had a quick question about the current adjustment settings after I got it, and their customer service responded to my email within a few hours, which was impressive. The charger itself feels robust, and I appreciate the flexibility of the adjustable current. It's been reliably charging my EV without any hiccups. Definitely a good purchase for anyone needing a reliable Level 2 option.

Good charger, delivery was slow

I ordered the J1772 EV Charger and it works great, feels sturdy and well-made. The charging speed is as advertised for my setup. My only complaint was shipping; it took about 8 days to reach me in Arizona, which felt a bit long. Overall, good value for the price, but could improve on delivery times.

Consistent quality, reliable charging

This is my third purchase from M&E New Energy, and they've been consistently reliable. I previously bought a Level 2 charger, and this time I picked up an EV Charger Extension Cable. Just like before, the quality is solid, and it arrived without any issues. Good to know I can count on them for EV accessories.

Best value for money 32A charger from Megear?

S SwatiAgarwal 1 week ago ✓ Best Answer
The basic 32A EV Charger with a NEMA 14-50 plug is usually the sweet spot. Fast enough for most homes.

M MeenakshiRao 1 week ago
Does it come with the wall mount or do I buy that separately?
8
P PankajSingh 1 week ago
Agreed. No need to go higher unless you have a huge battery.

Look at their Portable EVSE 32A, gives you more options if you move it around.

Check their newsletter signup, usually get a 10% off code for first orders. Worked for my Tesla to J1772 Adapter.

I'd try 'EVCHARGE10' or 'SAVE15', sometimes they pop up. No promises though.

Look for the Adjustable Current EV Charger. Lets you dial it down if the circuit is weak.

That's smart for older cabins or RV parks.

Thinking of getting a J1772 to Tesla Adapter. Worth it for public charging?

P PoojaShah 1 week ago ✓ Best Answer
Absolutely. Opens up so many more public chargers for your Tesla. It's a must-have.

Depends how often you're away from home. If you rely on public L2, then yes. If not, maybe not.

Which Megear charger for a Tesla Model 3? NEMA 14-50 plug preferred.

P PoojaMishra 1 month ago ✓ Best Answer
The NEMA 14-50 EV Charger is what you want. Plugs right in.

R RohanMehta 1 month ago
If you're okay with a permanent setup, the Tesla Wall Connector is better long term. But for portable, the NEMA 14-50 is good.

G GeetaDevi 1 month ago
Wall Connector needs an electrician though, right?

If you can swing it, a 16A portable EVSE gives you way more flexibility without being too pricey.

Good point on flexibility. Level 1 can be slow.

Megear vs. Grizzl-E? Any thoughts on quality?

S SaritaDas 4 weeks ago ✓ Best Answer
I heard Megear chargers are UL listed, which is a big plus for me. My Megear has been solid for a year.

Thinking about grabbing a Tesla charger from here, but I heard Lectron is pretty good too. Anyone have experience with both and can tell me if Megear holds up?

L Laura A. 4 months ago
I had a Lectron before and switched to Megear for my garage. Megear feels just as solid, maybe even a bit better build quality for the price.

C Carly N. 4 months ago
Megear is definitely a solid alternative. I've used their portable for road trips, no issues. Plus, they often have better deals than Lectron from what I've seen.
